Tulsa County Commissioners OK help for renters facing eviction
(KTUL – News Ch 8) – Help for Tulsa renters facing eviction is on its way.
The Tulsa County Board of County Commissioners has approved an initial $3 million for a rental assistance program administered through the Tulsa Housing Authority.
A federal moratorium on evictions ended late last week, and this money is expected to come to the aid of renters facing eviction in late August, according to the county.
“Tulsa County and THA are partnering to ease the burden and keep families from facing eviction during a pandemic and economic downturn that is outside of their control,” Tulsa County Commissioner Stan Sallee said in a news release. “We look forward to this program accepting applications as soon as possible.”
